Information Literacy Across the Curriculum GenEd Information Literacy in the Disciplines
IL Comprehensive Plan
Goal: Half of all majors will provide definition and catalogue material for IL for inclusion in 2007-08 catalogue: departments will specifiy where IL goals will be met and how these will be assessed.
IL in the disciplines: Why?
- Further students' learning by infusing IL into their major
- Provides depth & interdisciplinary specificity
- Library faculty and classroom faculty need common language: we all benefit, especially students, from deeper understanding of one another's area of expertise.
IL in the disciplines: How?
